Fathers Day

The little red dashes are the Appalachian Trail,
the white feet on the sidewalk in the above pictures are also the trail.

Shortly after this picture was taken he fell face first and started to
shiver, so we got out and when on the merry-go-round

Stomper signing "more"
One of my favorite memories as a child was going on a picnic for Fathers Day. I'm not sure if we went home after church to pack it up or if it was in the car waiting for us, but I do remember spending the day with Dad. I thought that a picnic would be the perfect way to spend the day and a good tradition to start. Jason and I enjoy driving aimlessly around and Stomper is a good traveler, so we decided to go for it.

We drove down several dirt roads to see where they went and had to have a plan B picnic spot because Stomper fell asleep (never wake a sleeping baby!). We were in the truck for hours, the three of us, our little family. We saw amazing mountain views and dipped our toes in some very cold water.

It was really great to get away, just the three of us.
