First Money

Made my first $10.00 by selling a Turtle Family to a family friend. So very excited that I did a little dance of joy right there at the mailbox! I have at least two more things I'll be selling in the near-future, but some of that money will go towards yarn. I am saving up to buy some board books by Sandra Boynton or maybe something more practical like a car seat or two?

Work in Progress "Bunny Ears"

My little model tried on my new and improved "Bunny Ears". I was going to make the ears at the family reunion tomorrow, but I forgot my pink yarn! Not a problem I'll knit them up on Sunday while the hubby is away at work. I hope to have the ears attached by Monday and picture posted no later than Tuesday.

I used the same amount of stitches as the last hat, but I increased the size of the needles and the yarn. The changes made it squishier and roomier. The child modeling it is 16 months old. I had the same hat on her sister who is 5 years old and it still fit! I love this yarn and pattern!

Up Next

This is my new dream project. I found this on Raverly and I really want to make it for my future munch-kins. What it is are 12 pairs of child size socks. Each day in December a child gets to fish inside a sock for a prize. Of course if I was REALLY crazy I could make 24 pairs so that someone would get to wear a new pair of socks each day, but I have limits to my craziness.

I decided that August will be project wrapping up month. I have three things I'm planning on knitting and then I will start my Christmas knitting. I'm not sure what I'll be able to get done, it depends on how busy the Foster kiddo's are going to make me. I have some things I'm selling for Christmas so those are top of the list. Then there are a few things I want to knit up for the family. I think I might, MIGHT, knit up an ornament for the various family units (not individuals), time will tell.

Mama Turtle

The Mama turtle is done.
I made her a little bigger than the pattern so that when I make the baby a little smaller the sizes will be just right.

To Do List

Making a Turtle Family for a family Friend (3 Turtles)
2 Crowns for some princesses at the daycare
Some promised mittens for my MIL
And some socks for Christmas for my FIL.

Not to mention the Shrug for my Mom that I'm still pecking away at.

Baby Knits

I these up for one baby, but ended up giving it all to a different baby. I was going to give it to my friend who is having a baby, but then I was going to see my cousin who is also pregnant and who loves the color green and I thought to myself, I should give these to my cousin. So I did.
